14. Yes but they didn't used to be.......

That seemed to all change when unions began to fairly consistently support Democratic candidates. The Republicans began to see unions as their enemies. They never asked themselves why unions were voting Democratic. Unions began voting more Democratic because the values and goals of the Democratic Party and most unions were aligned - fighting for the working man/woman, benefits, worker safety, etc.

Republicans will never admit that without unions there would be no 8 hour workday or 40 hour work week. There would be no sick pay or vacation time. There would be no pensions for anyone except senior management. There would be no employer provided health insurance. There would be no worker safety protection rules. The list goes on and on.
