There are multiple pathways to evolutionary success
But primary way to maximize genetic offspring for men who produce gazillions sperm is to make as many babies as possible and invest in them as little as possible
For women who have a Mich higher biological investment it is to have fewer babies and invest in them highly. Not saying this is "right." Our biology does not always fit with modern society.
