10. From what I've seen it's pretty rare in the industrial construction trades.

Yeah, people mess with one another, but it's generally in good fun and people that don't want to participate are left alone. I don't participate and no one bothers me. Most of what does happen is the "Your favorite sports team sucks" variety of arguing. It's almost unheard of to mess with someone long term for the sake of breaking them down. That doesn't happen because them "breaking down" will probably end in them maiming or killing you. When the guy you're talking to is holding a Metabo or a sleever bar, it's not a good idea to see how unstable he is, in case he decides to show you.

It might be common in residential or commercial construction, though. I've never worked those.
