18. All it takes is one real bully type on a crew and the whole thing can go pear shaped in a moment

Bad behavior multiplies like crazy, things can be fine on a jobsite until one certain person shows up and then it turns into Lord of the Flies in about ten seconds as everyone puts up their defensive shields.

One guy I knew pretty well was a major instigator on the job until one day he was getting ready to give someone who was obviously a bit upset a hard time when another person on the crew asked the guy what was wrong and he started talking about his daughter dying of cancer. It actually changed the bully type's behavior, he dialed the harassing way back after that, I don't think he had ever realized how much of an effect he had on people, it was just a way to pass the time for him.
