2. Today show (which I rarely watch) made a big deal about Willie "hanging out" with all these models..

A very stereoptypical segment--complete with Willie and Matt and others all but drooling. That they were not embarrassed at the perpetuation of that gross stereotype ought to infuriate all.

I would like to think progressive men would join in saying ENOUGH to that kind of objectification and total devaluation of women. That that segment coincided with the Olympics, where the most incredible women athletes join the men in demonstrating the very "best" they can be, just makes it all the worse to me. If I were a progressive man--hell, any man, I'd be truly ashamed. As a progressive woman working in a traditional "man's" field, I have become all too numbed to this--but angry all the same.

Women are far MORE than their bodies and their WORTH should not, could not, must not be measured by their bra and butt size. Why is that so hard to understand?????
