3. When we're talking $7, $8, and $10 an hour, this is more a human-rights issue than an economic one.

I'm serious - anything less than $10 an hour in this country, in this day and age, qualifies as slave labor. A person working for less than $10 an hour is not free.

And if the "private sector" can't provide people with an income of $10 an hour, the government needs to step in and hand it to the workers, as a recognition of a citizen's right to life.
