so has the Imperial crest of the Romanovs. The Cossacks were a tool of the Tsar, so was the Church. Any echoes to that are not mere coincidence. But on a serious note, Americans are willfully ignorant of history, not so much people in that area of the world. The Tsar used the cossacks to ethnically cleanse the region. The few descendants of the survivors see them as picking at that scab. Did I mention the cossacks are Orthodox Christian (breakaway) and the locals that the scab is getting pulled are Muslim? Most were thrown into the Otoman empire, by the way.

So these guys going after Pussy Riot, I am not surprised Putin let them out, but I am sure they are going to look for an excuse for internal exile soon. Pussy Riot is a problem, they are exercising that speech a tad too much. Russia has a lot in common with the Romanov era right now.
