I am saying that women respect, and want, men who look after their own interests. They do not respect the man that ignores his own interest and "will walk through fire" in an attempt to earn their respect. The latter is nothing but misguided foolery. Women are more than capable of looking after their own interest. I am not interested in the least in what women say, only what they do. Check what happens in the real world against those two sentences and tell me where I am wrong.

It took me thirty years to learn that simple lesson. I am much happier now than I was before I learned. I establish my interests clearly and up front. I won't accept anything less out of a woman. When I have chosen to be in a relationship following this paradigm, I have found that the woman and I are both much happier than the sad sack relationships I had before. In that way, I guess I am a feminist because I like to see women happy.
