DYLAN SCOTT FEBRUARY 20, 2014, 12:37 PM EST
Rep. Michele Bachmann (R-MN) thinks part of the reason Barack Obama was elected president was "because of guilt" -- a guilt that wouldn't exist for a female presidential candidate.
I think there was a cachet about having an African-American president because of guilt," Bachmann told conservative columnist Cal Thomas in comments flagged by the Huffington Post. People dont hold guilt for a woman."
Bachmann added that she didn't see a "pent-up desire" for a woman president. She ran for the GOP's presidential nomination in 2012 and is not seeking re-election to the House in 2014.

No Obama was elected because voters didn't want a third Bush (McCain) running things.
