Clearly that is not the case for some who are openly hostile to diversity and seek to exclude anyone who doesn't share their mid-20th century view of the world. Because it points out there is conclusive legal evidence that such behavior is part of a pattern to intimidate and harass, which is indeed why those threads were posted.
This really shouldn't be too difficult to understand. Either one values equality and diversity or one doesn't. Clearly some people are openly hostile to both. That is evident in not only their ongoing defense of objectification but in their general opposition to equal opportunity and the concerns of feminists and people of color, and for some even LBGT members lately. Allowing a climate of intolerance means they become increasingly emboldened and develop an increasing sense of entitlement to express hostility toward the concerns and lives of anyone but themselves.
