(9,214 posts)The conversations going on in this guys head must be fascinating.
Work Rex says this is a good place to build our tower for fracking.
Home Rex says that will block my view, has nothing at all to do with contaminating my farm's water supply, fracking is safe.
Work Rex says your view is a small price to pay for cheap energy.
Home Rex says, "Cheap, energy hasn't been cheap for 20 years, oh wait, I'm rich, who cares about the price. I'm going to sue! It's about the view... you know."
Work Rex says, "You can't sue over the view! How will it look? Besides you're suing me and I'm you."
Home Rex says, "I don't care who you are, it's about the water quality for my horses, but don't tell anyone. Let's just say it's about the view. As for the 'you being me' thing, my wife says she doesn't like the 'work' me anyway."
But why didn't he quietly behind the scene just get the tower moved? For a company of this size, I would think this would be a small thing. What good is being the CEO if you can't do something that small? As far as that goes I can't believe anyone allowed the tower to be spotted there in the first place, nobody in the company chain of command knew the bosses horse ranch was there?
