35. fear was a big factor

for me. I recognize the lack of that fear from time to time. Watching New Orleans drown was the most disturbing event, in a long line of disturbing events that occurred during the Bush years. It is amazing how quickly I forget the daily barrage of fearful, false, and mind-bending information that nurtured my free floating anxiety. It's quite stunning how irrelevant those years seem. I wonder how the Iraqi's feel.
