(57,739 posts)Starting here. You make a lot of assumptions and accusations that come from no where but your own imagination. You clearly know nothing about me or my background. That you think the concept of class is some revelation to me is absurd. You've managed to avoid thinking about how race and class interact, despite the many discussions on the subject in the threads on racism and white privilege. You resent the "lables" people of color call themselves and somehow insist that you should be able to determine who they are and what they care about. That is the embodiment of white privilege, as is denying that race matters. It is unfortunate that you don't have enough respect for DUers of color to pay attention to their views and how they experience these sorts of proclamations. While I am concerned with the pervasive racism in American society, I know a lost cause when I see it. I've grown weary of your free association lectures and will not be engaging in future discussion with you again. I ask you to respect my wishes.
