Even if the picture isn't "real", the violence against GLBT people in Uganda (and other countries) is very real! I agreed with your statement that sometimes people need to see things like this because otherwise, it just isn't real to them. Our struggles are nothing but an abstract to some.

Personally, I am glad people like you are willing to step and say, "NO! You need to SEE this! It is a reality!!"
