17. I filed a police report and the officer will go to the post office tomorrow and follow through.

In hindsight, the 911 might have been a better idea. But in the heat of the moment, that didn't occur to me. I was more concerned with not losing the vehicle until I got the photo of the numbers on the back of his truck.

Call to insurance company tomorrow.
