Nearly 400 arrested outside White House protesting Keystone XL
A photo essay by Jenna Pope





Some students put down a large plastic sheet to signify an oil spill, and then laid down on it for a "die-in".



Although many zip-tied themselves to the fence, others stood by them on the sidewalk. Holding a stationary protest on the sidewalk in front of the White House is grounds for arrest.
