Even though it is owned by the same Republican family as the Fargo Forum, the Herald used to be a much better newspaper and had real news in it. Not so much the last time I looked. For many decades the Fargo Forum was not so fondly known as the Fargo Foolum. From at least 1959 when we moved there. They haven't gotten any better with time, just less competition.
