my daughter was also killed and though her killer was charged with murder, she was allowed to plead to lesser felonies and spent just a little over 2 years in prison.

it's not just that trayvon's parents' lives will never be the same; it's that Trayvon will never have his life back. parents suffer what is called complicated grieving.

i really feel for Trayvon's parents having to go through this fight while they are undoubtedly still in a state of shock.

over time - too much time - i believe the human race will evolve and turn to the good. if i didn't believe it i don't think i could go on.

right here and now, as it stands today, there is hope that Trayvon and his loved ones will see justice, at least in this case. i certainly hope so.
