Just a totally hypothetical stress reliever.

Say you had the power to banish certain persons to a deserted island where there is no access to mass media. Just totally isolated from the rest of the world. They'll live on with their lives, but we here get to be free from hearing about them ever again.

Ideally, this would be reserved for persons who can't stay out of the news despite no one wanting to hear about them in the news. Or for people who have an audience but really shouldn't have an audience--basically the media gives them a microphone and they inevitably go to town.

And for the sake of conscience, I'll just say there's plenty of fresh water and coconuts on this island to drink and eat, and they can easily fashion thatch huts from palm trees and such. So you don't have to worry about the inhumanity of it all. (Unless they choose to resort to cannibalism, but that's on them, not you.)

So who would you choose? I think my list would have to include at the very least:

Sarah Palin
Justin Bieber
George Zimmerman
Ted Nugent
Any right wing talk radio host (Limbaugh, Beck, Hannity, etc.)
