I saw John Oliver in stand up at the end of 2013. He mentioned he has recently been to Australia for the first time and talked about the fact that Australia had been a penal colony for England. He talked about the clean beaches and clear water and blue sky in Australia and ended by saying he thot the Brits back then should have fenced in England and left the prisoners and everyone else gone to Australia.
