215. What I'd like to know is why some are so committed to ginning up war hysteria

When no one who knows anything about the situation thinks the US will become militarily involved in the region. Even John McCain, who never met a war he didn't like, says it's not a plausible option. And then why some uncritically believe everything a former KGB agent says? How is it possible for some to justify the Russian takeover of Crimea while opposing US military intervention? It's interesting to learn that people who have claimed to be anti-war aren't at all. They happily justify it when Russia wields it.

And why for fuck's sake do references to communist and anti-communist keep being bandied about? Russia hasn't been communist in over twenty years. How can anyone expect anyone to take them seriously when they make such absurdly uninformed statements? I don't claim to know much about this. In fact I know next to nothing, but I sure as hell remember the fall of the Iron Curtain and Soviet communism.
