I just read an OP about the new Cadillac commercial which was sickeningly elitist and jingoistic.

The responses were predictably negative but what really jumped out at me were the many responses that started with "I could afford one, but"

That says so much about the people who now consider themselves "DU'ers."
It seems that this originally anti-bush site, which has gone through many incarnations, has itself become a site for corporatists.
I love that sig. line "sometimes it is not worth gnawing through the restraints."

I think, in this brave new world, people who actually resent the status quo are supposed to believe that they are "not right."
