I PMed with her a few times and my offers of help, what little I could offer was met with excoriating return PM's. I drew the same conclusion you did, that she is obviously mentally ill so I didn't hold her behavior against her. And you are also correct in that, if they don't want to be helped (probably BECAUSE of their mental illness), you can't force them.
