3. I had no idea....

I found Bartcop just prior to the launching of DU... I read his site and MWO (mediawhoresonline.com) "religiously" and then DU once launched. While I stayed with DU-- MWO mysteriously closed down--I am afraid I drifted away from Bartcop.

I remember his frustration at "too-timid" Demicrats and his love for the best tequila. He was also a home for much of the better leftist political and parody art.

So very sorry to hear of his passing. I never knew the particulars, but had long assumed he wasn't in the best of health.

RIP, sir.
