little of your posts and utterly fact-free smearing of any person as racist. Ergo, you are not important enough to me to arouse strong emotion.
Don't know why so many posters like to imagine other posters are enraged over them, or some news story or whatever because they get a reply. I log in to message board because I intend to post. Duh.
You did make me suspicious, though. Still do. Most of all I did not want to leave your accusations, bullshit that FREEP was reveling over that same hour, without factual response. A lot of people read on this board.
well when he was running for POTUS, he was asked, documented, what about the then so-called 'negro vote'. He said he didn't need the 'negro' vote.
Oh, for the love of God.
That is a numbers of votes issue, not a racism issue. Demographics considered in every single election. I can't believe you post on a political board, yet lack awareness of something like that. That you leapt to the conclusion that Carter was racist from a statement like that is ridiculous. Seems like you are just so anxious to believe a very decent man who was a Democratic President is racist. The Governor who integrated Georgia. Do you grasp what a political risk that was to him at that time?
But you don't give a link or any context. Was a reporter asking this question? His campaign advisor? Where did you come up with this nugget of info anyway? Same place you got the term "recovering racist?"
Jimmy Carter was a racist. His southern culture demanded it, his constituency demanded it and no amount of lipstick on a pig will change my view.
and
All your 'links' mean nothing to me. I know what kind of person he was/is. Douglas? Lincoln? Who cares. I'm speaking of Carter only. Laugh all you want. Means nothing to me. I call bullshit to your response. J
Really? You know what kind of person Carter was? That's rich. When did you meet him?
Calling anyone racist simply because he or she was born in the South is shameful. And as my first response and this one indicate, Carter lost one election because of his equal rights position and then ran on it again. Then he integrated Georgia.
I don't especially like the posting style of calling facts lipstick on a pig as you smear a man who won a Humanitarian Award as a racist. And if your mind is so closed that no amount of factual info or links sways it, what are doing on a political message board?
You call bullshit on links and facts? I call bullshit on you.
You know, come to think of it, I don't need to respond worry about anyone reading you posts. If they can make it through the one I'm replying to without ROFL or putting you on ignore, or both, they're probably unredeemable conservatives anyway. They seem unable to get enough of lying smears of Democrats, especially on the racism issue.
