that excuse doesn't wash.
I'm sure we've all seen graphically horrible images of people whose lives have been changed, even ruined, in some gawdawful ways.
Soldiers whose faces were burnt off. Children who have lost limbs.
Little Yousef, who, at the age of four years old, was playing in Iraq when some men came by, doused him with gasoline, and set him on fire.
Events every bit as deserving of someone being miserable and nasty to other people if that's the excuse one wants to use.
But these people somehow rise above their own misery.
People who can live through real tragedy like what I just mentioned above without being nasty to their fellow humans put the rest of us to shame.
