(14,177 posts)Of course we can't prove it. That a vigilante with a gun and mental problems that constantly called 911 over "suspicious'' behavior, would just keep shooting at everyone. There is no evidence he would keep shooting. There is no evidence he would have stopped if confronted. However, in his own words he killed Trevon because he felt threatened. A confrontation might have made him feel even more threatened. Or, it could go the other way, maybe the presence of another person would have made him feel safe from "the threat" of this smaller teenager and he would have put his gun down.
I really don't think we should be passing judgement on the people in the area since we weren't there and we can't possibly know how fast they could have responded and how safe it would have been to respond. The ones that called 911 did what they should have done.
