The gay community in Austin spread rumors about Rick Perry.....LOL
I very highly doubt that Rick Perry is gay and those rumors were meant to bump him down a notch among social conservatives in the primary.
Once Perry had his "oops" moment, all was forgotten.
If Perry was going to bars without his wife, (gay or straight) there would be pictures of him going to bars. There are no pictures of Rick Perry going to bars in Austin without his wife.
Republican opponents also get involved in this. Remember Lindsey ran for president in 2016
