34. Thanks ProSense! Coincidentally I just introduced a local proposition on Tuesday night to do this..

... here at a county platform committee meeting here in Oregon that we were going to also forward to Kitzhaber to get action on. It's nice to know that he and the legislature are a step ahead of us too. Might change it to just be a motion to thank them for doing the right thing instead now to let him know we've got their backs.

In addition to pointing out that when dealing with this locally, both Dems and Republicans have fought these cuts, I also noted that Oregonians could use more heating assistance anyway in light of the recent heavy record snow storm we had not much more than a month ago, that might become more of a regular event with climate change becoming more of an issue in the coming years. This has to be a win/win for Dems now!
