Seismic seafloor event may indicate crash site of missing plane. [View all]

A report from the BBC notes that a university in China noticed that seismic vibrations occurred on the seafloor 117 miles NE of where the last contact point was with the missing plane shortly after it went missing. Speculation from the university is that a plane crashing into the sea could have caused those vibrations.

The BBC reporter, though, sounded skeptical and stated that there didn't seem to be much credence to that possibility and that the search for the missing plane is continuing in the Indian Ocean.
