One used to be able to email the pope at benedictxvi@vatican.va (English) or benedettoxvi@vatican.va (Italian). However, on October 7, 2011, an official at the Pontifical Council for Social Communications confirmed for Our Sunday Visitor that the email addresses are no longer active.
