(5,276 posts)It's hard to sway them. I voted for him twice, the first time enthusiastically. Then he brought in the in and out of Wall Street types, the Rubin crowd, as his financial team and so the bloom was quickly off the rose for me.
I voted for him again in 2012 but it was more a vote against Mr. 47%.
I get those funding appeals as well. I donate zip to the DCCC and Obama. I do donate to actual real liberal democrats and independents (Sanders).
We have to try to turn the river, to get the democrats off this third way semi republican path and back to it's populist roots. Hillary will likely be Bill Part 2 and that would not be what we need. My hope is that the real democratic wing of the democratic party will field someone to at least push Hillary leftward. Maybe Bernie Sanders can do it.
2014 counts, liberals need to get out and vote in off year elections, it's not as sexy as presidential elections but quite important, even in local races.
