In reply to the discussion: Navy SEALs 'took turns dumping HUNDREDS of bullets' into Osama bin Laden's dead body, a new report [View all]rppper
(2,952 posts)56. I'm throwing the horsesh@t flag on this...
Two of the four submarines I served on were dedicated spec-ops boats...including the test bed boat for submarine/special forces ops after 1990...I'm the guy who let them in and out of the escape chambers...they would tell you some gruesome war stories, but it was all strictly line if duty stuff, not pumping 500+ additional rounds into a dead body on site. I seriously doubt they fired inside a helo or onboard an aircraft carrier with 6000 crew-members...none of the spec-ops teams, from any of the services, I ever assisted onboard showed anything but the utmost professionalism and seriousness towards their missions. The entire team probably carried just over 500 rounds between them. They're not heavily armored.

OP
Exactly! the timeline was very strict, and "hundreds of rounds" would also make noise, plus the ID

Why did the Daily Mail publish it? Why does FoxNews cheer for Republicans?

I don't think dailymail crap 'articles' should be allowed on DU or give tabloid media their own list

Note - a tabloid speaking of unnamed "sources" on an unnamed website -speaking of a "report"

That would take probably 5 seconds to do, but this is the Daily Mail, so it probably never happened

It never happened because it would have left messy evidence behind that
