What's happening is that capitalism is following a pesuedo-Marxist historical roadmap. Marx predicted it somewhat sooner than it will happen (primarily because he failed to understand industry and didn't really have an understanding of the capitalist mode of production). But it will happen and without a "collapse of the capitalist system." We'll simply stop from going from screwing people over to everyone being equal, economically, socially, etc.

It fucking sucks. But just because capitalism is succeeding doesn't mean it's a good system. But water carrying talking heads for the Republicans are almost certainly not going to get us off capitalism. For us socialists, for us informed socialists, we have to recognize the power of capitalism and its hegemony on global progress. Unless we do that, then we will fail.
