A mechanical failure of some sort took place on that aircraft. The latest real information is that Malaysian military radar tracked the plane's altitude changing drastically from 35,000ft to as low as 12,000ft (which is precisely what eyewitnesses observed) and the plane turned left - more like pilots trying to save an aircraft and not no fugging terrorism.
The experts will solve this one - not the idiots looking ratings or book sales.

Even if they find debris floating on the surface, it's been more than 2 weeks.
