But he is also kind of genius.
He wrote "I love the smell of napalm in the morning," "Go ahead. Make my day," and the USS Indianaopolis monologue in Jaws.
What is sort of wonderful about Red Dawn is just how damn committed it is to one brilliant - but crazy - person's vision. I mean, the remake couldn't even decide who the bad guys were.
