No doubt they want to insure you are safe and still miss them as much as they miss you.
When my first dog died we finally gathered her dog bowl,toys etc but oddly her leash disappeared. It was like she was going to take one item to remind her of us. I hope to see her at Rainbow Bridge with that leash!
