1. My son knows a boy at his HS whose parents kicked him out

when he came out. Son's best pal started the school's gay/straight alliance and he's gone to a few meetings with her.

It was an eye opener, to be sure.

The kid in question is now staying at a friend's house but I cannot even imagine what he must be feeling. What kind of shriveled heart would turn their own child away for simply being.
