(38,696 posts)11. My grandparents' ashes fed a blue spruce in our yard.
First my grandfather, then later my grandmother's ashes were spread there as well. (After both of their bodies were donated to the University where my grandfather taught, used fully, then cremated.)

Wish I'd heard of this earlier. At present, scheduled to go into a columbarium. Yup, communism!
