16. As it turns out, Impeachment Trials are most about partisanship

It's like they said to Democrats yesterday, 'You know, you've made a good case, and we saw it with our own eyes, and we agree with you, but we're not going to implode our own party over this any more than you would.' I mean, McConnell waffled on both sides, we got a brain trust of Republicans to vote yes, so maybe we brought them back to reality. Senate is an awkward place for criminal trials.

Speaker Pelosi knows it all. She admonished Mitch along political grounds because she knows that's what he did.
