Then why have we never seen "used car salesman" on a Tea Party sign? I mean, that's where the RW racist crazies are. Living in Georgia, I've encountered plenty of right wing racists. Never heard the term "used car salesman" out of any of them. They were too busy using much more, shall we say, well-established racist words/terms. Therefore, it's not reasonable to expect a right-wing racist to use that term. It can only follow that this is an attempt to infer racism where none may actually exist.
Personally, I don't like the idea of Democrats calling President Obama names of any kind, including "used car salesman." It's just as easy to say, "I feel deeply betrayed and misled by the President." That said, it's silly to imply that it's racist when it's not. It detracts from and weakens alerts regarding actual racism, and it closes any effective dialogue just as thoroughly as the initial name-calling. Neither side of this argument looks particularly intelligent or reasonable.
Remember the old, old video game "Pong"? DU is beginning to look like one big game of Stupid Pong, where stupid stuff gets batted back and forth over and over and over. I used to come on here and click on 90% of the posts, and ignore 10%. That ratio is roughly reversed now. Grow up, people.
