I live in a relatively moderate area of Texas(D/FW area) and never quite heard anything of the truly hateful nature myself, but I wouldn't doubt for a second that our local Teabaggers probably do have a lot of much nastier things to say about our President than a "POS used car salesman". How about "commie Marxist secret Mooslum" for example?

So yeah, honestly, the claims & insinuations of racism pertaining to Will Pitt are more than a bit overblown, TBH. But then again, this is quite true in regards DU *in general* as well. Contrary to what a certain few may believe, racism is *not* a significant problem on this site. Never has been. And when it does happen, it gets shot down quickly, and the culprit tombstoned by Skinner or the MIRT team.
