Sit down and explain it to them. If young. "Daddy is sick, and it hurts" use a toy, to show them if there is anywhere you can tolerate it, if at all. Older kids, show them the skin lesions and they will get it. We do not give enough credit to our kids. Younger kids they will think worst things though.
