I remember reading that stuff as a kid and wondering who the hell these strange people were. They certainly didn't seem to be role models or 'good' people. I remember thinking god was incredibly angry and spent his time taking revenge on his people. Then the new testament and the whole vibe changes.

Reading the bible created a lot of questions for me, and I never had them answered to my satisfaction. A story book, nothing more.
