There are far more people who work in jobs that don't offer insurance than these pundits realize. They're going to get hit, hard; especially the middle class folks. There's a donut hole that's going to appear that will become a bullet hole wound. 8% of your paycheck is a hell of a lot of money when you're already up to your eyeballs in, say, college debt, or a hell of a lot of other things.

...number of uninsured is known, and that includes those who work and have no insurance. The fact is there are exemptions, there's a cap, and there will be hardship waivers. A significant number of the uninsured are unemployed.

The 83 percent of American who currently have insurance are not going to be affected by the mandate.
