1. I stopped buying them two years ago...

That even some of the 'best' companies were importing ingredients from China (and continue to do so, even with some of the "top line" 'natural' dog foods) was enough for me.

I now feed a highly recommended natural grain free diet from Costco, as I have found Costco actually does seem to care about the reputation of its own Kirkland brands. I supplement with vegetables, the occasional peanut butter, canned pumpkin and I give her plenty of chew toys, but nope to the jerky treats.

It is tragic that our regulatory system when it comes to animals is even more inadequate than it comes to human-targeted products.
