9. Arguing about things is a way to be right about more and wrong about less.

There are lots of people who disagree about lots of things, including lots of important things.

That means that some of those people *must* be wrong about those important things.

Arguing about them is a way to work out who, and correct it. It's imperfect, but it's the only way.
