13. A very large percent of hydrocarbon extraction goes into plastic production

The problem starts with our addiction to bottled water and convenient packaging. All plastic products could be made bio-degradable and safe for our planet.
Our whole economy is based on the continuation of military dominance in order to keep the oil flowing. We are sacrificing our air and water for the plastic universe we are living in.
The Hippies had it right---The world is plastic-avoid it at all costs.
Recycle and carry your own bags.
