(1,276 posts)I had a similar experience with those cheesy films. I remember them showing all three movies of that series in church when I was growing up. Parents brought kids as young as three and four to watch it and I may have been about eight or nine when I first saw them. It was very traumatizing and that was the point.
I remember one scene in particular when they marched adults and a small child holding a red balloon out to the guillotine because they would not take the mark. They wanted to scare the adults and children into accepting Jesus as their savior and usually had success at the end of the showings when they made the call. A lot of those who went forward were kids.
The only difference that I see here is that people will have to pay to go and see the series in the movie theaters.
