It is abusive and manipulative and they know that.
to you as well. I really feel for anyone who went through that and are still going through it. IOW how manipulating people to come to Jesus out of fear instead of true and genuine emotion and faith was a good way to recruit souls.
I'm no longer a part of that world and, for me, my religious beliefs are private and should not be forced on anyone else. It took me a long time to undo some of the damage that was done mentally and emotionally when I went to that church and school.
